Council Meetings
Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. These public meetings start at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend. Please contact the Town Office at least two (2) weeks prior to a Council Meeting if you would like to get a topic on the agenda.
Planning and Zoning
Regularly scheduled Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday each month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. The public is welcome to attend these meetings, which start at 6:00 PM.
Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month as needed at 6:00 PM at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. Please contact the town office to be added to the agenda one (1) month prior to the meeting if you have business to discuss. If there are no topics brought forth to be placed on the agenda 1 month before this meeting, the committee will not meet that month.

May 8, 2018
The Woodsboro Town Council met today at 7:00 PM in the Town Hall with the following members present:
Burgess Rittelmeyer and Commissioners Spruill, Smith, Boyer and Piechowski.
There was no guest and five residents in attendance.
Burgess Rittelmeyer called the meeting to order and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
After review of the April 2018 minutes, a motion to accept them as presented passed 4 – 0.
After review of the April 2018 financials, a motion to accept them as presented passed 4 – 0.
Bank account balances were reviewed. Burgess Rittelmeyer suggested moving funds from the GF money market to the Streets money market. After a brief discussion it was decided not to do this.
Burgess Rittelmeyer reported he is still waiting on the Kercher group to get back in touch with him.
Commissioner Smith reported he will begin looking at areas in the streets that need immediate attention.
Commissioner Spruill reported the drain pipe that runs under Elizabeth Street has a lot of trash in it.
Commissioner Spruill reported having a data report for the radar sign done but apologized for leaving it on his desk. He reported on some of his findings and will email the data to everyone.
Commissioner Boyer reported on Planning and Zoning. He reported on a few changes to the fee schedule. Burgess Rittelmeyer providing an updated fee schedule to present at a town meeting so it can be adopted in.
Commissioner Boyer reported on a call from a resident saying his neighbor had torn down a building and was putting another one up.
Commissioner Piechowski reported on a piece of equipment on the disc golf course that is a hazard for mowers and people. Burgess Rittelmeyer will look at it.
Burgess Rittelmeyer opened discussion on the FY19 Budget. He reported there is no increase for property tax or water and sewer fees. With no further discussion, a motion to accept the FY19 Budget as presented passed 4 – 0.
A resident in attendance had a question on the sale of the Fire Department Complex. Burgess Rittelmeyer explained it is privately owned by the Fire Department and the Council can not disclose information. Ms. Johnson then questioned the zoning on the land and Burgess Rittelmeyer explained.
Resident Chris Martin was in attendance to discuss not receiving his water bill. Commissioner Smith and Burgess Rittelmeyer explained after it leaves the town office it is the Post Office’s responsibility.
Resident Ken Morgan was in attendance to share his concern for the way the town looks. A discussion was held on the streets project and ways to clean things up.
Resident Ken Kellar reported Walkersville Days is May 19th and his newspaper will be hosting a scavenger hunt that is open to the public. He also reported Woodsboro Days 5K run will be held on October 13th and yard sales will be on October 20th.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn passed 4 – 0.
