Council Meetings
Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. These public meetings start at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend. Please contact the Town Office at least two (2) weeks prior to a Council Meeting if you would like to get a topic on the agenda.
Planning and Zoning
Regularly scheduled Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday each month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. The public is welcome to attend these meetings, which start at 6:00 PM.
Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month as needed at 6:00 PM at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. Please contact the town office to be added to the agenda one (1) month prior to the meeting if you have business to discuss. If there are no topics brought forth to be placed on the agenda 1 month before this meeting, the committee will not meet that month.

Town Workshop Meeting Minutes
Woodsboro, Maryland
February 27, 2017
The regular scheduled Workshop Meeting of the Woodsboro Town Council was held today at the Town Hall with the following members present:
Burgess Smith, Commissioners Rittelmeyer, Spruill, Kellar and Piechowski.
There was one resident and two guests in attendance.
Burgess Smith called the meeting to order and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
After review of the November 2016 minutes, a motion to accept them as presented was passed 4 – 0.
Burgess Smith reported the overflow pipe in the pond has been repaired.
Commissioner Rittelmeyer reported there are beavers in the park and the flag pole appeared to have been fixed from damage. Mary informed him the wind blew the flag pole over and the maintenance men repaired it.
Commissioner Spruill had nothing to report.
Commissioner Piechowski had nothing to report.
Commissioner Kellar reported having no further communication with SHA in reference to planting trees along the front of the park. Commissioner Rittelmeyer reported receiving an email inquiring on a sign for reforestation in the park and he informed them there is no concern with the sign.
Two Frederick County representatives were in attendance to discuss Livable Frederick with the Council. A handout was provided and reviewed.
Commissioner Rittelmeyer opened discussion on POS grant funds. He asked for ideas on what POS monies could be used for.
Commissioner Rittelmeyer reported speaking with a gentleman in Walkersville in reference to overhauling the town’s website. He would like to use the $4,000 in the budget that is dedicated for the website. The Council agreed to use the dedicated funds for the website.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn the meeting passed 4 – 0.
