Town Workshop Meeting Minutes

Woodsboro, Maryland

January 27, 2020

The regular scheduled Workshop Meeting of the Woodsboro Town Council was held today in the St. John’s Fellowship Hall with the following members present:

Burgess Rittelmeyer, Commissioners Smith, Boyer and Crum. Absent from the meeting was Commissioner Cutshall.

There was one guest and one resident in attendance.

Burgess Rittelmeyer called the meeting to order and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.

After review of the October 2019 minutes, a motion to accept them as presented was passed 3 – 0.

Commissioner Boyer reported speaking with the Trout property owner in reference to their plans for the property and thought that maybe that was why they were not in attendance.

Burgess Rittelmeyer reported on a few items.  He reported the new employee started with the town, the red truck was getting transmission lines replaced and the gas and diesel tanks and pumps were getting replaced.

Commissioner Boyer reported the plane that will be lowered into the diving quarry is now at the quarry.

Burgess Rittelmeyer inquired on the site plan for the new town hall.  Commissioner Boyer will contact Fox and Terra Solutions.

Resident Ken Morgan had questions for the yard waste program.  A brief discussion on that and recycling was held.

Susan Hauver, the town’s zoning administrator opened a brief discussion on the Comprehensive Plan and asked the Council if they wanted it updated. All agreed it should be updated.

There being no further business, a motion to close the meeting was passed 3 – 0.
