Council Meetings

Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. These public meetings start at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend. Please contact the Town Office at least two (2) weeks prior to a Council Meeting if you would like to get a topic on the agenda.

Planning and Zoning

Regularly scheduled Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday each month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. The public is welcome to attend these meetings, which start at 6:00 PM.

Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month as needed at 6:00 PM at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. Please contact the town office to be added to the agenda one (1) month prior to the meeting if you have business to discuss.  If there are no topics brought forth to be placed on the agenda 1 month before this meeting, the committee will not meet that month.

Town Workshop Meeting Minutes

Woodsboro, Maryland

October 26, 2020

The regular scheduled Workshop Meeting of the Woodsboro Town Council was held today in the St. John’s Fellowship Hall with the following members present:

 

Burgess Rittelmeyer, Commissioners Smith, Boyer, and Crum.  Absent from the meeting was Commissioner Cutshall.

There was no guest and no residents in attendance.

Burgess Rittelmeyer called the meeting to order and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.

After review of the June 2020 minutes, a motion to accept them as presented was passed 3 – 0.

Burgess Rittelmeyer asked if there was any further discussion on the FY20 audit report.  Being there was not, a motion to accept the FY20 audit report as presented passed 3 – 0.

Commissioner Boyer opened discussion on the new town hall.  Mary reported the site plan was going to get signed this week. The next step is a site review plan that would need approval of the Council.

Commissioner Crum reported on the basketball court.

Burgess Rittelmeyer reported on the creek project in the park.

Burgess Rittelmeyer informed the Council on how expensive the message signs for Halloween would be.

Burgess Rittelmeyer reported calling the County again about the property beside the WWTP.  They were screening dirt and the County stopped them.

Burgess Rittelmeyer reported on resident, Mrs. Zeender calling him about her high water and sewer bill.

There being no further business, a motion to close the meeting was passed 3 – 0.
