Council Meetings
Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. These public meetings start at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend. Please contact the Town Office at least two (2) weeks prior to a Council Meeting if you would like to get a topic on the agenda.
Planning and Zoning
Regularly scheduled Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday each month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. The public is welcome to attend these meetings, which start at 6:00 PM.
Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month as needed at 6:00 PM at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. Please contact the town office to be added to the agenda one (1) month prior to the meeting if you have business to discuss. If there are no topics brought forth to be placed on the agenda 1 month before this meeting, the committee will not meet that month.

Town Workshop Meeting Minutes
Woodsboro, Maryland
April 24, 2017
The regular scheduled Workshop Meeting of the Woodsboro Town Council was held today at the Town Hall with the following members present:
Burgess Smith, Commissioners Rittelmeyer, Spruill, Kellar and Piechowski.
There was two residents in attendance.
Burgess Smith called the meeting to order and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
After review of the March 2017 minutes, a motion to accept them as presented was passed 4 – 0.
Burgess Smith opened discussion on a reimbursement to resident Jason Boyer for his recent sub-division. It was decided that due to the uniqueness of Mr. Boyer’s sub-division, there would be a partial reimbursement of the $2,160 fee. A motion to reimburse $1,250 was passed 4 – 0.
Burgess Smith opened discussion on the FY18 Budget. He suggested taking $100,000 from the streets money market to begin street repairs. Commissioner Kellar would like to see a multi-year plan and inquired on whether the company used to do the survey could provide guidance on a plan. Burgess Smith will contact them. A motion to allow Burgess Smith to spend up to $3,000 was passed 4 – 0.
Commissioner Kellar inquired on a budget line for website services and Zoning Administrator service.
Commissioner Rittelmeyer reported he will have $68,500 in POS.
A discussion was held on the Cub Scouts using the park in June. They will have until May 15th to process the correct payment or they cannot use the park.
Commissioner Spruill inquired on how a person should handle their neighbor’s tree or bush growing onto their property. He was informed you can trim anything hanging over on your property.
Commissioner Piechowski inquired on the radar sign. It was explained that the eleven inch sign is not in compliance with Federal Regulations for size. Commissioner Piechowski will contact the company.
Commissioner Kellar presented a letter from SHA. They are asking for the 30% concept plan to be signed. A brief discussion was held. Commissioner Kellar recommended signing it. A motion to sign the 30% concept plan passed 3 – 0 with Commissioner Piechowski abstaining.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn the meeting and go into closed session passed 4 – 0.
