Council Meetings
Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. These public meetings start at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend. Please contact the Town Office at least two (2) weeks prior to a Council Meeting if you would like to get a topic on the agenda.
Planning and Zoning
Regularly scheduled Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday each month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. The public is welcome to attend these meetings, which start at 6:00 PM.
Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month as needed at 6:00 PM at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. Please contact the town office to be added to the agenda one (1) month prior to the meeting if you have business to discuss. If there are no topics brought forth to be placed on the agenda 1 month before this meeting, the committee will not meet that month.

September 13, 2016
The Woodsboro Town Council met today at 7:00 PM in the Town Hall with the following members present:
Burgess Smith and Commissioners Spruill, Kellar and Piechowski. Absent from the meeting was Commissioner Rittelmeyer.
There was two guests and four residents in attendance.
Burgess Smith called the meeting to order and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
After review of the August 2016 minutes, a motion to accept them as presented passed 3 – 0.
After review of the August 2016 financials, a motion to accept them as presented passed 3 – 0.
A motion to move seventy five thousand ($75,000) from the General Fund checking account to the Street money market passed 3 – 0. It was decided to roll the two CD’s that are up for renewal into new CD’s at the best rate.
Under unfinished business Burgess Smith reported he has not had time to research speed bumps or radar signs but will.
Commissioner Spruill inquired on the status of projects that Mr. Bob Shoemaker is going to be doing for the town. Burgess Smith will contact Mr. Shoemaker.
Commissioner Kellar gave an update on the sub-division of Jason Boyer’s property.
Commissioner Kellar opened discussion on the Israel Creek Restoration project. It was decided to have them attend the September 26th Workshop meeting and present their concept plans.
Commissioner Kellar reported that hole 10 of the disc golf course requires you to throw over the parking lot. After a brief discussion it was decided that Commissioner Kellar call them to have it moved.
Commissioner Spruill reported the same vehicle is speeding on N. Second St. He still has not been able to obtain the tag number.
Commissioner Piechowski inquired on the upcoming disc golf tournament and asked if they have filed the proper paperwork. Mary reported they have.
Burgess Smith presented a quote from a company for a survey on pavement condition and indicated he would like to get a five or ten year plan in place for street repair. After a discussion on the scope of the work a motion to have the company survey the streets passed 3 – 0.
Burgess Smith presented a quote to attempt the removal of the rock in well 3. A motion to proceed was passed 3 – 0.
Resident Shirley Morgan was in attendance and reported on high grass around well house 2 on Short Street. Burgess Smith will go around the town to look at areas.
Resident Jason Boyer reported the pot hole in front of 100 Creagerstown Road has been fixed.
Mr. Jim Dirtzbaugh, a land developer was in attendance to discuss possibilities for the Trout property at the south end of Main Street. A discussion was held on what the Council would like to see on that property.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was passed 3 – 0.
