Council Meetings
Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. These public meetings start at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend. Please contact the Town Office at least two (2) weeks prior to a Council Meeting if you would like to get a topic on the agenda.
Planning and Zoning
Regularly scheduled Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday each month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. The public is welcome to attend these meetings, which start at 6:00 PM.
Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month as needed at 6:00 PM at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. Please contact the town office to be added to the agenda one (1) month prior to the meeting if you have business to discuss. If there are no topics brought forth to be placed on the agenda 1 month before this meeting, the committee will not meet that month.

Town Workshop Meeting Minutes
Woodsboro, Maryland
March 28, 2016
The regular scheduled Workshop Meeting of the Woodsboro Town Council was held today at the Town Hall with the following members present:
Burgess Smith, Commissioners Rittelmeyer, Kellar, Spruill and Piechowski.
There was three residents and seven guest in attendance.
Burgess Smith called the meeting to order and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
After review of the February 2016 minutes, a motion to accept them as presented was passed 4 – 0.
Burgess Smith reported on walking the disc golf course in the park. Discussion was held with members of the disc golf club.
Burgess Smith opened discussion with the property owner, potential purchaser and realtor for 609 South Main Street. It was decided to do a text amendment to the NMX (Neighborhood Mixed Use) section. Commissioner Kellar will schedule Planning and Zoning meeting to discuss this change.
Commissioner Rittelmeyer gave a report on the Rec Council and their opening day of April 2nd. He also reported on the POS projects in the park, a resident who cleaned up and planted flowers around the entrance sign, the clean up after the high waters and the bridge that was damaged. He asked that large rocks be placed in the creek bed to avoid any further erosion at the bridge and trash cans be placed at each bridge in the park.
Commissioner Piechowski inquired on the outcome of the broken hydrant at Highs. He was informed that hydrant is the property of Highs.
Commissioner Spruill had nothing to report.
Commissioner Kellar had nothing to report.
Burgess Smith announced the April 12th Town Meeting would be cancelled.
Commissioner Kellar inquired on the MML convention in Ocean City.
Chase Foley, resident of Woodsboro and member of Troop 1070 in Walkersville was in attendance to present a plan for his Eagle Scout award. Chase would like to install doggie poop bag stations throughout the park. Pictures were presented and discussion held. A motion to allow Mr. Foley to install up to six stations, with coordination from Commissioner Rittelmeyer, passed 4 – 0.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn the meeting passed 4 – 0.
