Council Meetings
Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. These public meetings start at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend. Please contact the Town Office at least two (2) weeks prior to a Council Meeting if you would like to get a topic on the agenda.
Planning and Zoning
Regularly scheduled Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday each month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. The public is welcome to attend these meetings, which start at 6:00 PM.
Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month as needed at 6:00 PM at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. Please contact the town office to be added to the agenda one (1) month prior to the meeting if you have business to discuss. If there are no topics brought forth to be placed on the agenda 1 month before this meeting, the committee will not meet that month.

Town Council Meeting Minutes
Woodsboro, Maryland
October 13, 2015
The Woodsboro Town Council met today at 7:00 PM in the Town Hall with the following members present:
Burgess Smith and Commissioners Rittelmeyer and Piechowski. Arriving late was Commissioner Kellar. Absent from the meeting was Commissioner Spruill.
There was no guest and one resident in attendance.
Burgess Smith called the meeting to order and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
The first line of business was with Ms. Joann Howell, 204 S. Main Street. Ms. Howell thanked the Council for their attention in fixing the storm drain in front of her home. She also inquired on when the sidewalk that runs along the side of 200 S. Main Street would be repaired. Burgess Smith informed her the town is currently obtaining bids to replace the storm drain and then all the sidewalk will be repaired.
Burgess Smith opened discussion on an email from AT&T. They have hired a company to work with the Town to reduce their rental fee on the Adams Street water tower. Burgess Smith gave Commissioner Piechowski a history on the cell carriers that rent space on the tower. It was suggested that we contact other municipalities to inquire on their rental fees for cell carriers. Burgess Smith will take care of this.
Burgess Smith opened discussion on getting bids to replace the storm drain from the west side of S. Main Street down to S. Second Street. It was decided to obtain bids for this project. Burgess Smith will contact companies asking for bids.
Commissioner Rittelmeyer inquired on whether the Public Hearing had been advertised. He was informed it was advertised on October 9th and will be advertised again on October 16th. He also reported he has not heard anything on POS funding yet.
After review of the September 2015 minutes a motion to accept them as presented was passed 3 – 0.
After review of the September 2015 financials a motion to accept them as presented passed 3 – 0.
Review of two CD’s with Woodsboro Bank due to mature was held. It was decided to renew the CD’s but for 6 months, 12 months or 18 months, which ever had the best rate. Mary will get rates.
Burgess Smith recapped the AT&T letter with Commissioner Kellar who agreed we should check with other Municipalities.
Burgess Smith recapped obtaining bids for the storm drain work and Commissioner Kellar agreed we should obtain bids.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was passed 3 – 0.
