Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. These public meetings start at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend. Please contact the Town Office at least two (2) weeks prior to a Council Meeting if you would like to get a topic on the agenda.

Planning and Zoning

Regularly scheduled Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday each month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. The public is welcome to attend these meetings, which start at 6:00 PM.

Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month as needed at 6:00 PM at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. Please contact the town office to be added to the agenda one (1) month prior to the meeting if you have business to discuss.  If there are no topics brought forth to be placed on the agenda 1 month before this meeting, the committee will not meet that month.

Meeting Minutes

Woodsboro, Maryland
February 8, 2011

The Woodsboro Town Council met today at 7:00 PM in the Firehall with the following members present:

Burgess Smith and Commissioners Brakebill, Rittelmeyer and Rensberger. Absent from the meeting was Commissioner Eaves.

There was one resident and one guest in attendance.

Burgess Smith called the meeting to order and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The first line of business was a report from Deputy Sutton.

The January 2011 minutes was reviewed. A motion to accept them as presented passed 3 – 0.

The January 2011 financial statements were reviewed. A motion to accept them as presented passed 3 – 0.

Commissioner Rittelmeyer had nothing to report.

Commissioner Rensberger reported the Construction Bridge is complete and would like to have the maintenance crew paint the railings in the Spring. The recyclable toilet is nearing completion and the fishing pier is constructed and on it’s floats. He also informed the Council he was contacted by a member of the American Legion inquiring on a dedication ceremony for the new fishing pier. He will keep everyone posted on this. Commissioner Rensberger indicated he is still waiting on Commissioner Eaves to get back to him in reference to obtaining a bid from Mr. Shoemaker for the soccer field renovation and asked Mary to have the bid openings on the next Workshop Agenda.

Commissioner Brakebill reported the Planning and Zoning Commission did not meet in January due to a lack of Agenda items. The Commission is to meet on February 9th but to date there is nothing on the Agenda. He also reported not hearing from Denis Superczynski on the

WRE/MGE. An email from Town Attorney John Clapp in reference to the Judicial Review was read and Burgess Smith informed everyone that he would be attending the MML/BoCC meeting where this will be discussed.

Burgess Smith reported on one incident while plowing snow that he took care of.

Burgess Smith opened discussion on the WWTP incident and shared a quote to fix and clean up the filters in the amount of $35,889. It was decided to have Marc attend the February Workshop Meeting to give an update on the incident.

Commissioner Rensberger reported he met with Ms. Peggy Trimmer and she has chosen the exercise equipment for the Exercise Stations in the Park.

There were no comments from the Public.

There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was passed 3 – 0.
