Council Meetings

Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. These public meetings start at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend. Please contact the Town Office at least two (2) weeks prior to a Council Meeting if you would like to get a topic on the agenda.

Planning and Zoning

Regularly scheduled Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday each month at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. The public is welcome to attend these meetings, which start at 6:00 PM.

Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month as needed at 6:00 PM at the meeting room behind St. Johns Church, 8. N. Second St. Please contact the town office to be added to the agenda one (1) month prior to the meeting if you have business to discuss.  If there are no topics brought forth to be placed on the agenda 1 month before this meeting, the committee will not meet that month.

August 16, 2022

The Woodsboro Town Council met today at 7:00 PM in the fellowship room of St. John’s UCC with the following members present:

Burgess Barnes, Commissioners Eckenrode, and Cutshall. Absent from the meeting were Commissioners Crum and Case. 

 

There were two guests and two residents in attendance.

Burgess Barnes called the meeting to order and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Burgess Barnes opened the meeting by informing the attendees that due to the lack of a quorum the Council would not be able to vote on anything.

 

Burgess Barnes updated everyone on the Musical Festival that will be held in October.

Burgess Barnes reported the original lot that was purchased for a town hall was sold and already went through settlement. The new owners plan to build a home on the lot.

Burgess Barnes gave an update on the newest lot, 605 S. Main Street.

Commissioner Cutshall had nothing to report.

Commissioner Eckenrode reported the bridge in the park has not been repaired yet.  Mary informed him it will be finished by the end of August.

Ken Morgan, 5 Wood Street, reported the trees on Cornell Drive have not been trimmed yet.

Rick Bontz, 208 N. Main Street, was in attendance to inquire about getting a sidewalk put in on a small strip of land between the Medical Center and Highs and along Coppermine Rd. He would like to meet with a Commissioner to look at it and discuss it.

There being no further business, a motion to adjourn the meeting passed 2 – 0.
