Council Meetings
Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at Town Hall – 605 S. Main Street, Woodsboro MD, 21798. These public meetings start at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend. Please contact the Town Office at least two (2) weeks prior to a Council Meeting if you would like to get a topic on the agenda.
Planning and Zoning
Regularly scheduled Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday each month at Town Hall – 605 S. Main Street, Woodsboro MD, 21798. The public is welcome to attend these meetings, which start at 6:00 PM.

Please contact the town office to be added to the agenda one (1) month prior to the meeting if you have business to discuss. If there are no topics brought forth to be placed on the agenda 1 month before this meeting, the committee will not meet that month.

Town Council Meeting Minutes
Woodsboro, Maryland
March 10, 2026
The Woodsboro Town Council met today at 7:00 PM in the Woodsboro Town Hall with the following members present:
Burgess Barnes, Commissioners Cutshall, Rittelmeyer and Hahn. Absent from the meeting was Commissioner Case.
There were five guests and eleven residents in attendance.
Burgess Barnes called the meeting to order and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
After review of the February 2025 minutes, a motion to accept the minutes as presented passed 3 – 0.
After review of the February 2025 financials, a motion to accept them as presented passed 3 – 0.
Comments from the Commissioners,
Commissioner Rittelmeyer reported that the flow to the pond has been restored and the pond has been stocked with fish. DNR will stock two more times.
Commissioner Hahn reported on the Easter Egg hunt.
Commissioner Cutshall reported on pot holes around town with the worst one being at the cemetery. He also reported on low hanging limbs over wires on N. Main Street. Town Clerk, Mary Rice, reported on two trees that need to be taken down in the park and suggested getting a quote for the trees on Main.
New Business,
Burgess Barnes reported Mr. Cayden Purdy was unable to attend the meeting.
Comments from the public,
Resident Ashley Haines, N. Second Street, was in attendance to discuss a few matters in the town’s park concerning motorized vehicles.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn the meeting passed 3 – 0.
