Council Meetings
Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at Town Hall – 605 S. Main Street, Woodsboro MD, 21798. These public meetings start at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend. Please contact the Town Office at least two (2) weeks prior to a Council Meeting if you would like to get a topic on the agenda.
Planning and Zoning
Regularly scheduled Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday each month at Town Hall – 605 S. Main Street, Woodsboro MD, 21798. The public is welcome to attend these meetings, which start at 6:00 PM.

Please contact the town office to be added to the agenda one (1) month prior to the meeting if you have business to discuss. If there are no topics brought forth to be placed on the agenda 1 month before this meeting, the committee will not meet that month.

Town Council Meeting Minutes
Woodsboro, Maryland
February 10, 2026
The Woodsboro Town Council met today at 7:00 PM in the Woodsboro Town Hall with the following members present:
Burgess Barnes, Commissioners Cutshall, Case and Hahn. Absent from the meeting was Commissioner Rittelmeyer.
There were one guest and seventeen residents in attendance.
Burgess Barnes called the meeting to order and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
After review of the January 2025 minutes, a motion to accept the minutes as presented passed 3 – 0.
After review of the January 2025 financials, a motion to accept them as presented passed 3 – 0.
Comments from the Commissioners,
Commissioner Case had nothing to report.
Commissioner Hahn reported food trucks will be in the park again this year and all slots are filled.
Commissioner Cutshall reported the clean up after the storm was managed well.
New Business,
Burgess Barnes reported Mr. Jerry Muir was hired as a contractor for Planning and Zoning Administrator. The pay is $400 per month. Mr. Muir also agreed to do Code Enforcement for an additional $300 per month. A motion to have Mr. Muir perform both positions for $700 per month passed 3 – 0.
Comments from the public,
Mr. Ricky Haney, Knotty Alder Ct., informed the Council the stop sign on the court went missing during the storm.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn the meeting passed 3 – 0.
