Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the Woodsboro Fire Hall on 3rd street. These public meetings start at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend.
Woodsboro Town Workshops are held on the fourth Monday of each month at the Woodsboro Fire Hall on 3rd street. The public is welcome to attend these meetings, which start at 7:00 PM.
Please contact the Town Office at least two (2) weeks prior to a workshop if you would like to get a topic on the agenda.
Planning and Zoning
Regularly scheduled Woodsboro Planning & Zoning Meetings are held on the first Monday each month at the Woodsboro Town Office, behind the Fire Hall on 3rd street. The public is welcome to attend these meetings, which start at 6:00 PM.
Please contact the Town Office at least ten (10) days prior to a Planning & Zoning meeting if you would like to get a topic on the agenda.

Town Council Meeting Minutes
The Woodsboro Town Council met today at 7:00 PM in the Town Hall with the following members present:
Burgess Rittelmeyer and Commissioners Spruill, Boyer and Smith. Arriving late for the meeting was Commissioner Piechowski.
There was one guest and three residents in attendance.
Burgess Rittelmeyer called the meeting to order and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
After review of the August 2017 minutes, a motion to accept them as presented passed 3 – 0.
After review of the August 2017 financials, a motion to accept them as presented passed 3 – 0.
Under unfinished business Burgess Rittelmeyer presented a letter from Lancaster Craftsman Builders, LLC asking for release of funds for Copper Oaks II. Commissioner Smith made a motion to release $136,000 for water and sewer, $17,157 for Sediment and Control, $26,819.32 for Streets, for a total of $179,998.78. Motion passed 3 – 0.
Commissioner Smith reported on the streets project.
Commissioner Spruill inquired on the water pressure gauge and was informed it has been ordered and shipped.
Commissioner Boyer reported on Planning & Zoning. Members will be attending the Workshop Meeting in September and Zoning Administrator, Susan Hauver would like to see the new P&Z meeting date and time on the website.
Commissioner Boyer reported that he was recently asked why the two maintenance men do not run the water and sewer operation of the town. He was informed you need to be a licensed operator. He also reported that Mr. Bob Shoemaker inquired on getting a water tap for his lot on S. 3rd Street. He was informed that taps are not handed out until you are ready to build.
Commissioner Boyer also asked if the tree trimmers in town were hired by the town and he was informed they are not.
Burgess Rittelmeyer reported Mr. Shoemaker evaluated the curb and street in front of 307 Copper Oaks Dr. and will be taking care of the repair.
Delegate Kathy Afzali was in attendance to speak on FY18 funding to Municipalities. A handout was provided.
Resident Donald Trimmer inquired on the engine brakes discussed at a previous meeting. Commissioner Boyer gave an explanation.
Resident Ken Kellar reported on a sewer gas smell at 9 S Main Street.
Commissioner Piechowski had nothing to report.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was passed 4 – 0.
